Our use of RPA flows internally has become a vital part of how we communicate on a daily basis. There are flows connected to everyone’s availability status, notifications are sent out when new members are added to current groups on Microsoft Teams, and we are even able to flag negative comments automatically within conversations between employees.

This automation ensures that all new members of teams are welcomed and feel valued when they join; it makes people aware when someone they have contacted or sent a meeting invite to is unavailable, and guarantees that everyone within the team is happy and enjoying their current projects.

Onboarding automation made easy

In a similar way to its use for communication, RPA flows are created to help with all the onboarding processes and HR automation within AI Australia for new and existing interns.

For example, when a new intern is hired, the entire process is automated through RPA flows; their onboarding documents, self-assessments, pre-screening questions and their offer letters are all automatically sent out using Microsoft Power Automate.

Self- Service Project App

One current project that has recently been launched within AI Australia that uses RPA is the new self-assign application for interns.

This app allows interns to assign themselves to new or current projects within the company that pique their interest. Once they have submitted their interest, the project leader is automatically notified and can choose to accept the new entrant or not, which will then send automatic status updates to the applicant.

This is just one example of an AI Australia project made easier through the use of RPA, with many more being developed and launched currently.
